The Laramie Project
Bridgeport Theatre Company presents the moving recount of a brutal hate crime that shocked the nation. The Laramie Project is the reaction to the death of the young gay man, who was kidnapped, beaten and left to die, on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. The play brought attention to the lack of hate crime laws in various states and Matthew Shepard's death became a national symbol of intolerance. MORE...
