The Ballpark at Harbor Yard
The Ballpark at Harbor Yard, home of the Bridgeport Bluefish, is situated at one of the major gateways to Bridgeport. Visitors arriving on the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson ferry, from Amtrak and Metro-North trains at Bridgeport's rail terminal, and in vehicles on the Interstate 95 overpass, are all treated to a view of a sparkling new sports and entertainment complex, of which the ball park was the first component.
Located on the former site of the Jenkins Valve factory, the stadium was made possible by a $10 million cleanup and redevelopment effort funded by a public-private partnership between Zurich Re and the City of Bridgeport.
Visitors have been charmed by the stadium’s views and setting on the waterfront of a newly revived city. The park’s design has won praise as a great environment to watch baseball.
Guest amenities include skyboxes and club level seating, concession stands and kiosks, elevators, ADA compliant restrooms, a play area for kids, a souvenir shop and 1,350 on-site parking spaces in lots or nearby garage. Parking for all events is $4.00 for cars and $5.00 for buses, RVs and other oversized vehicles.
