Klein History Theater: Free to Be – The Life of Frederick Douglass

Klein History Theater presents educational plays about the lives, struggles, and triumphs of influential figures in American history. Coming in February for Black History Month: Klein History Theater debuts “Free To Be”, a one-man play about Frederick Douglass, the leader of the abolitionist movement. Starring Tenisi Davis. The play runs approximately 70 minutes, and a Q&A will follow the show. The performances are recommended for middle & high school students. The play is researched and written by author Deborah Zipf and are performed by professional actors. Tickets are $10 each, $9 for groups of 20-49, and $8.50 for groups of 50 or more. Each ticket also includes a free study guide for classroom use. Students can start arriving as early as 9:45am.
