Farm to Park City Community Picnic

Farm to Park City is an event intended to celebrate local food by bringing our community together for a collaborative “potluck-style” picnic with food, live music, a guest speakers. Bring your friends and family. Bring a blanket, games, and dinner! We envision an event where people bring delicious, wholesome, locally-grown meals to nourish themselves, their families, and their friends. A welcome appetizer will be provided by Chef Raquel Rivera Pablo from A Pinch of Salt. The event will be held at Beardsley Park, directly outside of the Zoo entrance. Farm to Park City encourages walking, biking, busing or carpooling to the event! Tickets may be purchased here online, or in person on the day of the event. Participate in the local ingredient Cooking Contest! We are calling all apple pie experts to participate in a Cooking Contest! The winner will recieve a gift basket prize! Judging will start around 6:00pm. Sign up for the competition here. Contest rules are:

1. Participants must buy apples from one the 7 farmer’s markets in Bridgeport. To see the Bridgeport Farmers Markets schedule, visit bridgeportfarmersmarkets.org. Each market accepts cash, credit, debit, Senior FMNP Checks, SNAP, and WIC.
2. The pie must be cooked and can be any shape or size. Pies can also be healthy leaning.
3. Participants must have their pies on the judging table by 6:00pm with the name displayed next to it. Contestant names must match the one on the event registration list.
