The Downtown Cabaret Theatre’s Main Stage, awakening from its pandemic-imposed dormancy, will inaugurate a new season of plays and musicals by celebrating a new work by a new local author, Dr. Jim Gadzik.
Magic – The Dance Musical tells the story of Bob, recently jilted by his fiancée, and Pam, involved in a loveless marriage, who are offered free ballroom dance lessons by an intriguing instructor on a weekend before Christmas. Poignant and family-friendly, this holiday-themed musical, with a score of 25 selections, features new local talent under the guidance of a first-class creative team, led by Executive Producer, Hugh Hallinan and Directed by local Broadway veteran Frank Root.
