Explore the Food, Music, and Art of Bridgeport
SAVORCITY, a monthly tour of Bridgeport restaurants, food, art, and music, showcasing the culinary and cultural delights of Connecticut’s most diverse city, continues for our sixth visit – to Eat Noodle at 269 Fairfield Ave, in downtown Bridgeport, next door to The Bijou Theatre. This visit coincides with and is part of the celebration of the BRIDGEPORT ART TRAIL.
Organized by Rick Reyes Productions, Capital for Change, The NEST Arts Factory, and the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, SavorCity organizes visits to neighborhood restaurants where guests can experience the authentic local cuisine of Bridgeport’s many, diverse neighborhoods. To accompany the food, and create a festive mood of celebration, Bridgeport musicians perform and Bridgeport artists showcase their work.
Our exploration continues with Happy Hour at Eat Noodle in downtown Bridgeport. Eat Noodle
is Skye Kwok’s unique spin on the growing noodle soup market in Bridgeport, with options like pho, ramen and specialty items like curry soup. Any ramen lover will tell you–it’s all about the broth. At Eat Noodle they build layers of rich umami flavor with the help of mushroom stems, fresh ginger, kombu (a type of edible kelp), sesame oil, and, of course, low and slow heat. Our musician for the evening is Rick Reyes
and the art on the walls will be new light paintings by Cris Dam
This event runs from 5pm to 8pm with extended “Happy Hour” prices. We hope that many of our guests, following their meal, will adjourn next door to The Bijou Theatre
for a Bridgeport Art Trail performance, Latin AmericaNA
, curating and starring Rick Reyes,
sponsored by the Art Trail and WPKN, starting at 8pm. Tickets here
