The Burning of Fairfield – a Live screenplay reading at Bridgeport Library

October 26, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

The Burning of Fairfield is based on real historical events and actual people who lived in the Fairfield area up to and during the Revolution. Did you know John Hancock (signer of the Declaration of Independence) was married in Fairfield’s Burr Mansion? – And that the wedding guests included Ben Franklin, CT Governor, Jonathan Trumbull, Boston’s John Adams, and many other dignitaries and founding fathers?!

Bridgeport resident and screenplay writer Michael Stephan will showcase parts of his script for a new film on colonial era Fairfield. Members of the public are encouraged to participate and conduct readings. **kid friendly**
