This month…we will be analyzing Marvel’s Black Panther & discussing “Life After Wakanda” Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’ released on February 16 nationally will continue to be the focus of broad-ranging community discussions by scholars, artists, intellectuals, and activists. Moderators: Jason V. Watts (Founder of The UPN) & Jessica Carl (Radio Personality WYBC 94.3FM) UPNRealTalk will encourage the viewing audience to examine the film with a critical focus on cultural representation. Marvel’s Black Panther is loaded with visual imagery and cultural representations that has not been seen in Hollywood or the comic book industry.
