People of Colorful Bridgeport

People of Colorful Bridgeport celebrates and honors Downtown Bridgeport’s diversity through the lens of its vibrant individuals.

These meaningful interviews with Downtown Bridgeport business owners, residents, educators, and community leaders ranged in topics from daily life, to achievements, to aspirations, to reflections on contemporary events. Through these dialogues, you truly get a sense of place, specifically of Downtown’s dynamic energy. The narratives incite curiosity, exploration, inspiration, and insight into why Downtown is wonderfully “Colorful Bridgeport.” Check the portraits out on our social media @colorfulbridgeport and watch the video interviews on our YouTube channel.

Complimentary to the online series, we created an installation at 1001 Main Street, in the windows of the former Artist and Craftsman Supply. To close out the series, we convened a discussion with the People of Color(ful Bridgeport) participants.

All photos and videos in this series captured by local talent, Gary Judkins.
